Executive Director, Texas Children in Nature Network

We as an American society have been moving away from regularly spending time in nature, both as children and as adults. We are also seeing more and more research showing the critical need of play and education in nature – from physical child development to our mental health to performing better in school. We are increasingly seeing how important time in nature is for a healthy childhood, much like healthy food and regular doctor appointments. Learn about the research behind the children in nature movement and some initiatives Texas Children in Nature Network is promoting across the state.
